RIYADH — KSA Sports will exclusively broadcast what is known as the world’s greatest endurance race, bringing together the world’s top racers and the best eSports sim racers for the 24-Hours of Le Mans race as the circuit goes virtual on gaming platform rFactor 2. The race, which begins Saturday at 4 p.m. Riyadh time and ends Sunday at 4 p.m., is sponsored by the Saudi Arabian Federation for Electronic and Intellectual Sports (SAFEIS) who are fresh off organizing Gamers Without Borders, the biggest charity gaming event ever. Uniting 24 million gamers across 80 countries, Gamers Without Borders donated over $10m to international organization leading the fight against COVID-19. Saudi’s legacy with motorsports continues with the nation playing host to major races such as FIA Formula E and the Dakar Rally, as the country’s gaming federation sponsors the 24-Hours of Le Mans in its inaugural virtual edition. The race will be held on the rFactor 2 gaming platform and will feature 200 of the world’s top racers and sim racers as they race off across 50 teams for a full 24 hours. The all-star racer line-up includes a quarter of the current Formula 1 field, former Formula 1 racers, IndyCar and Le Mans champions and some of the best sim racers. KSA Sports channel will broadcast all the action, studio analysis and exclusive interviews throughout the race. Minister of Sports Prince Abdulaziz Bin Turki AlFaisal, a former racer himself who took part in the 2011 and 2017 Le Mans races, will give two live interviews on Saturday 5 p.m. Riyadh time and Sunday 3 p.m. — SG
