RIYADH — The Saudi Digital Academy, an initiative of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, has launched the "Digital Leadership" program in partnership with international training agencies in the field of leadership training. The program, whose activities extend over six months, aims to train, qualify and develop the skills of qualified Saudi young men and women to occupy leading positions in their business entities in the communications and information technology sector. The objective is also to create technical leaders outside the sector and entrepreneurs working in the technical field to become active and effective contributors to lead the digital transformation drive in the Kingdom and strengthen the role of the telecommunications sector in building a digital society, a digital government, and a thriving digital economy, and enabling our dear nation to lead and excel. Addressing the participants during the inauguration of the program’s activities, Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Technology and Chairman of the Saudi Digital Academy, Haitham Bin Abdulrahman Al-Ohali, stressed the importance of the role played by national leaders in the communications and information technology sector to achieve excellence and leadership in the ongoing digital transformation in the Kingdom. He also highlighted the ministry’s keenness to qualify the national cadres to occupy leading positions in the sector. The Deputy Minister for Technology and Digital Capacities at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Ahmad Bin Hamdan Al-Thenayan, that the program includes intensive training in leadership skills, digital transformation, financial management, leadership of institutions and individuals, in addition to professional guidance and guidance by distinguished international experts and specialists in the field of leadership and digital transformation.
