RIYADH — The “Mwathiq” ("private notary") service has facilitated property conveyance in the Kingdom, saving time and efforts of the clients and sparing them visits to the notarial office, Ministry of Justice announced on Sunday. To request the conveyance service, one ought to log onto the Mwathiq app or Mwathiq.sa site, enter mobile number and complete mobile verification, start a new notarization request, select property conveyance service, and specify the city, the ministry said in a statement. “The client determines the service time and location and submits an application,” the ministry said. “After accepting one of the offers and contacting the service provider, the notary arrives and promptly finalizes the conveyance.” The requirements include the title deed information, the buyer and seller’s ID information, and the original payment document (check or bank transfer). The ministry-licensed private notaries also notarize transactions related to powers of attorney, liens, debts, corporate charters, and title deed corrections.
