KSrelief attends meet on impact of COVID-19 on women in Arab countries

RIYADH — The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) took part in a round table virtual meeting on the dimensions of the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) and its effects on women in the Arab countries. The round table meeting was organized on Friday by the UN Women and the Japanese Embassy in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Director of the Community Support Department Dr. Amal Mohammed Al-Habdan represented KSrelief at the meeting. During the meeting, Dr. Al-Habdan highlighted the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the KSrelief, in supporting women in the disaster and conflict areas. She highlighted KSrelief’s support through implementing many programs, including 225 projects in 49 regions around the world, benefiting more than 62,741,896 women. Meanwhile, KSrelief distributed on Friday 2,950 cartons of dates to the displaced, in Marib Governorate, Yemen, benefiting 2,950 families. This aid comes within a project to distribute 3,000 tons of dates, in Yemen. — SPA
