King Salman chairs virtual Cabinet session from hospital

RIYADH — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman on Tuesday chaired a virtual session of the Cabinet from King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Riyadh, the Saudi Press Agency reported. King Salman was admitted to King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Riyadh early on Monday for medical checks due to an inflammation in the gall bladder, according to a statement from the Royal Court. At the outset of the session, King Salman thanked and praised Allah Almighty for his health and well being. He also thanked everyone who checked on his health. Thereafter, the Cabinet reviewed the preparations made by the relevant government agencies for this year’s Hajj while taking all necessary measures to ensure the health and safety of the pilgrims in the light of the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency, Acting Minister of Media Dr. Majid Al-Qasabi stated that the Cabinet reviewed a number of developments with regard to coronavirus both at the preventive and therapeutic levels. Cabinet also took stock of the outcomes of the third session of the Saudi-Iraqi Coordination Council in Riyadh, which resulted in exploring opportunities for cooperation in all fields, developing strategic partnership, opening new horizons of cooperation in the economic and development fields, deepening it in the international and regional affairs, and protecting the common interests.
