KSrelief launches project to combat dengue fever in Aden

ADEN — The King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Action launched on Thursday the emergency response project to combat dengue fever in Aden governorate. The project targets eight districts of Aden over a period of 5 months, benefiting 861,719 people. The project, which will be implemented in all districts of Aden governorate, includes spray campaigns and removal of stagnant water and sewage swamps. It is aimed at combating mosquitoes that carry many diseases, including dengue fever. The undersecretary at the Yemeni Ministry of Public Health and Population, Dr. Ali Al-Walidy, said that the project is of great importance in contributing to the fight against mosquitoes that carry dengue. He appreciated the efforts of KSrelief in support of the health sector in Yemen. The project comes within the humanitarian and relief efforts made by Saudi Arabia through KSrelief to alleviate the suffering of the Yemenis.
