ARAFAT — The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, represented by the Directorate General of Information Technology, has launched the “Fatwa Robot” service. The service aims at issuing religious rulings and consultations to pilgrims, in a move considered the first in the field of religious rulings and consultations. The service also seeks to bolster health protocols through social distancing. The service in Namirah Mosque and Al-Mashar Al-Haram Mosque in Muzdalifah allows direct communication through visual communication between the questioner and a team of muftis from the ministry to provide fatwas easily and remotely in several languages. Through this service, the ministry seeks to apply international best practices in the framework of keeping pace with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, and implementing health protocols for this year’s exceptional pilgrimage.
