MUSCAT — Oman reported on Wednesday six new coronavirus-related deaths and 188 new infections, bringing the total number of COVID-19 deaths in the country to 603 and the total number of active cases to 4,815. In the past 24 hours, 211 recoveries were reported, the ministry of health said. The ministry urged everyone to adhere to social distancing instructions issued by the authotities, as well as staying at home and not going out unless necessary. Meanwhile, the Patients’ & Clients’ Services Department of the ministry of health has implemented significant measures to reduce the spread of the novel coronavirus. In another development, several tourist and international restaurants have reopened in the country. Gyms and swimming pools located in hotels have also been allowed to function under certain regulations and requirements.
