BEIRUT — The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), in cooperation with the High Relief Commission in Lebanon, delivered here on Saturday medical supplies and medicines to eight Lebanese hospitals, providing services free of charge to the beneficiaries. The delivery was made, in the presence of the Director of the KSrelief"s Office in Lebanon Fahd Al-Qannas, the Secretary General of High Relief Commission in Lebanon Muhammad Khair, and a number of representatives of hospitals and clinics. Al-Qannas explained that the aid included more than 50 types of medical supplies in large quantities, such as respirators, burn treatment tools, monitoring devices as well as medicines and intravenous solutions. This aid comes within the framework of the humanitarian and relief efforts, exerted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the KSrelief, to alleviate the suffering of the Lebanese people. Earlier, in Hadramout, Yemen, the KSrelief enhanced the capabilities of Al-Hayat General Hospital in the governorate to confront the novel Coronavirus. The KSrelief provided the hospital with two respirators, as part of the center"s projects, aiming at improving the capabilities of the Yemeni Ministry of Public Health and Population to combat the outbreak of the COVID-19. On Friday, as many as 54 relief trucks affiliated to KSrelief crossed Al-Wadiah border crossing, during the period from July 22 to Aug. 18, 2020, carrying medical equipment and supplies, shelter materials and dates, weighing a total of 531 tons and 142 kilograms, headed to several Yemeni governorates. This aid comes as part of the relief and humanitarian efforts provided by Saudi Arabia through the KSrelief to all Yemeni governorates. — SPA
