18 KSrelief trucks cross Al-Wadiah into several Yemeni governorates

AL-WADIAH, Yemen — As many as 18 relief trucks affiliated to King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) have crossed Al-Wadiah check-point, during the period from Aug. 31 to Sept. 3, 2020. The trucks carried 3,056 food baskets weighing 339 tons and 216 kilograms, shelter materials weighing 7 tons and 440 kilograms and various medical equipment weighing 2 tons and 272 kilograms, to Aden, Seiyun, Marib, and Hajjah governorates, in Yemen. This aid comes as part of the relief and humanitarian efforts provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the KSrelief to all Yemeni governorates. In Seiyun, Yemen, KSrelief inaugurated on Friday the 6th batch of medical aid provided by Saudi Arabia to the Yemeni people to contribute to combating the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). This aid comes within the framework of the relief and humanitarian efforts provided by the Kingdom to the Yemeni people to combat the spread of the coronavirus and limit its dangerous effects. In Marib, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) distributed solar-powered lights to the camps of the displaced people, in Marib Governorate, benefiting 790 families, with the support of KSrelief. The IOM aims, with the KSrelief"s support, to provide various aid to the displaced families to alleviate their humanitarian crisis, within the framework of the humanitarian and relief projects without discrimination. In addition, the KSrelief distributed Friday relief assistance to the displaced people at Al-Wadi directorate in Marib Governorate in cooperation with the Good Coalition for Humanitarian Relief. The distribution included 21 tents, 126 blankets and 42 rugs, from which 126 displaced people benefited. — SPA
