RIYADH — As a step to monitor the problems facing camels during their lifetime and while being transported across the world, the International Camel Organization (ICO) has executed a joint cooperation agreement with the international "Angels for Animals” organization. This agreement’s purpose is to improve the levels of camel life and their transport from one place to another across the world, and to support scientific and applied studies in this field. Sheikh Fahd Bin Falah Bin Hathlin, founder and chairman of International Camel Organization (ICO), confirmed that under this agreement ICO seeks to develop the transport of camel over long distances via several transportation modes, in addition to spreading an awareness about the compliance with the regulations of animal care and its safe transport across the world. This agreement aims to enhance the protection of camel’s rights whether related to transport or care, document all defects related thereto and give chance to complain, in the light o requesting to comply with international regulations of animal care and its right maintenance. The International Camel Organization (ICO) is a non-profit organization, having its business office, established by Sheikh Fahd in March 2019. It has around 105 member states across the world. ICO aims to develop and provide services for camels as a heritage. On the other hand, "Angels for Animals” organization is an international organization interesting in animal care, having its business office in Frankfurt, Germany and it endeavors to protect animals during transport. — SG
