MOSCOW (Reuters) - Belarus’ foreign ministry on Thursday described a European Parliament resolution saying Alexander Lukashenko should not be recognized as president from November as aggressive in character and not constructive, the Interfax news agency reported. The resolution also called for European Union economic sanctions to be imposed on him following a disputed Aug. 9 presidential election that the opposition said was rigged.
