RIYADH — The Speaker of the Arab Parliament Mishaal Bin Fahm Al-Salami highly valued the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia"s announcement supporting the UN Response to Coronavirus pandemic plan, as it donated $100 million to the World Health Organization (WHO) and an array of relevant projects, backed by several UN agencies. Al-Salami emphasized that such a generous donation falls in line with the continued noble stances and pioneer humanitarian and development contributions provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in order to consolidate solidarity among world states and peoples. It also reflects the pivotal role played by the Kingdom, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, as a main backer and financier of UN humanitarian response plans, especially in the most coronavirus affected countries, he added. — SPA
