RIYADH: The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Red Sea Development Co. to maintain the environmental sustainability of the Red Sea’s waterfront, protect and improve its natural habitats, and ensure that development processes do not affect the waterfront’s ecosystem, the Saudi Press Agecny reported on Thursday. Under the MoU, the two parties will cooperate to facilitate the procedures for obtaining the necessary environmental permits for the project, provided it complies with the environmental compliance standards applied in the Kingdom.
