In presence of Prince Fahd, El-Sisi inaugurates King Salman Int'l University

SHARM EL-SHEIKH — Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi inaugurated King Salman International University (KSIU) here Saturday, in the presence of Prince Fahd Bin Sultan, governor of Tabuk Region, currently on a visit to Egypt on behalf of Crwon Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, deputy prime minister and minister of defense. At the outset, the Egyptian President welcomed Prince Fahd and the accompanying delegation. Then a documentary film was presented, focusing on tracing the building of the university, in Sinai peninsula, consisting of 16 faculties and 56 programs related to 3 smart branches, at Tur, Ras Sidr and Sharm El-Sheikh, to meet the international labor market and the 4th Industrial Revolution needs, as well. King Salman International University falls in line with the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince noble program to develop Sinai Peninsula. KSIU is the first integrated university to be established in South Sinai in Egypt, with an area of about 300 acres spread over three cities. The university accommodates about 20,000 and 500 students every year. The construction works for the establishment of the university began in 2017 and was completed by March 2020. The university includes in its first phase a total of 10 colleges, in addition to other five colleges in the future, as well as a college for medicine, along with a university hospital, which will be established within the main university branch campus in El-Tor city.
