(Reuters) - Eta has strengthened into a category 2 hurricane and is expected to become a major hurricane soon with life-threatening storm surge expected across portions of Central America, the National Hurricane Center (NHC) said on Monday. Eta is located about 140 miles (225 km) east-northeast of Puerto Cabezas, Nicaragua, packing maximum sustained winds of 110 miles (175 km) per hour.
