LISBON, Nov 5 (Reuters) - The European Central Bank could expand its asset buying programme when it meets next month to “recalibrate” its measures to alleviate the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the economy, the bank’s governing council member Mario Centeno said. It will also mull measures to protect the banking sector, he said, adding that lenders have so far weathered the crisis much better than during the European debt crisis in the early 2010s.
