KSrelief medical campaign for open-heart surgeries in Mukalla ends

MUKALLA, Yemen — The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has concluded here its voluntary medical campaign for adult open-heart surgeries and heart catheterization operations in Mukalla, Hadhramaut Governorate, it was reported Sunday. The volunteer medical team affiliated to Riyadh-based KSrelief conducted 95 operations Saturday, including 13 open-heart surgeries and 82 heart catheterization operations. The campaign comes within the framework of humanitarian and aid efforts provided by KSrelief, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s relief arm, for the needy in Yemen. In Hodeidah, the Emergency Nutritional Medical Clinics, affiliates of Riyadh-based KSrelief, continued providing treatment services during last week for the needy in Hodeidah Governorate, Yemen. As from Oct. 22 to 28, 2020, as many as 4,585 patients benefited from various medical services provided by different clinics and departments, the report said, adding that prescribed medications were disbursed over 4,125 individuals. In Aden, KSrelief launched on Saturday a fog spray campaign, as part of the emergency response project to combat dengue fever. The campaign comes within the framework of the programs funded by the KSrelief, aiming at protecting the Yemeni people from the epidemic diseases within the emergency response project to combat dengue fever. In addition, the KSrelief launched volunteer awareness campaigns to prevent the new coronavirus targeting school students and teaching staff in 8 Directorates in Aden Governorate. This comes within the framework of the efforts being implemented by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through the KSrelief, to help the Yemeni people. — SPA
