KSRelief and FAO seek to unify humanitarian efforts in Yemen

RIYADH — A top official of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSRelief), Saudi Arabia’s charity arm, held a meeting with a representative of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in Yemen to explore ways to unify efforts in combating desert locusts in Yemen. KSRelief was represented in the meeting by the assistant supervisor general for operations and programs, Ahmed bin Ali Al-Baiz, while Dr. Hussein Jadin represented the global food organization. Both officials also discussed ways to ensure KSrelief’s continued support for FAO’s efforts in Yemen, as well as other issues of common interest related to the humanitarian work. The FAO representative praised KSRelief’s humanitarian and relief works in various governorates of Yemen, looking forward to strengthening the relationship between the two sides to serve the Yemeni people and alleviate their suffering. — SG
