ADDIS ABABA (Reuters) - Ethiopia’s government responded on Monday to appeals for talks over the Tigray conflict by saying it has not requested any international mediation and hoped to finish its offensive soon. “We are saying ‘Give us time’. It’s not going to take until eternity,” Redwan Hussein, spokesman of the government’s task force for the Tigray crisis, told reporters. “We have never asked Uganda or any other country to mediate.”
