KSRelief chief meets Afghan envoy in Riyadh

RIYADH: The supervisor general of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief), Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah, met the ambassador of Afghanistan to Saudi Arabia, Ahmad Jawid Mojadidy, in Riyadh. During the meeting, they discussed matters of common interest related to relief and humanitarian affairs between the Kingdom and Afghanistan. The ambassador expressed his appreciation for the center’s distinguished legacy, praising the relief and humanitarian aid provided by the Kingdom through the center to Afghanistan. KSRelief, which was established in 2015, has contributed to humanitarian projects worth nearly $4.8 billion in partnership with different global nonprofit organizations. It has implemented more than 1,403 different projects in 54 countries, especially in areas afflicted by conflict or disaster. According to a recent KSRelief report, the countries and territories that have benefited the most from its projects include Yemen ($3.4 billion), Palestine ($360 million), Syria ($298 million) and Somalia ($198 million).
