RIYADH —The Tuwaiq Academy under the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming and Drones, has been included in Apple’s Authorized Training Center for Education (AATCE) program. Thus, the academy has become Apple’s first educational training center in the Middle East. The AATCE program recognizes educational institutions that demonstrate a commitment to delivering courses on Apple technologies and to meeting Apple’s trainer, facility, and lab requirements. More than 10 trainers from Apple have received accreditations and obtained certifications as Apple Certified Trainers for App Development with Swift. This new achievement reflects Saudi Arabia’s technological progress as the Kingdom continues its march in the technological field as part of the efforts to achieve the goals of Vision 2030 in order to build an ambitious country, a vibrant society, and a prosperous economy, the Saudi Press Agency reported Faisal Al-Khamisi, chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming and Drones, thanked Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman for the unlimited support that the federation has received from him, as well as his eagerness to prepare new generations with the most advanced sciences in all technological fields. “This achievement reflects the ambitious vision of the Crown Prince to build national capabilities with the highest international standards,” he said. In a press statement, Al-Khamisi said that the Saudi Tuwaiq Academy has obtained the accreditation of Apple, which reflects the global and advanced status of the Kingdom in the technological field, and it is the culmination of its efforts to qualify future generations according to the highest international standards, in light of the federation’s vision. It seeks to reach its goal of qualifying one programmer out of every 100 Saudis by the year 2030. He stated that obtaining the accreditation of Apple company will help the development of Saudi male and female trainers, using the best educational methods of curricula and tools, to work on building distinct national capabilities and with high efficiency in the field of programming. It is noteworthy that the federation launched the Tuwaiq Programing Camp at the headquarters of the Tuwaiq Academy in Riyadh, in fulfillment of the federation’s vision of empowering one out of every 100 Saudis by 2030. The camp, which ends with employment, aims to train 50 male and female students in application programming on the iOS and Android systems. The duration of the intensive practical training camp is 16 weeks.
