MAKKAH – The killer of four people, including two of his sisters, confessed that he had committed the crimes following a family dispute between him and the victims. An official source at the Public Prosecution said that the confessed killer had slain three women and a man in a horrific crime committed on Wednesday (Nov. 25) in the Qunfudah governorate in the Makkah region. The murderer is a resident of Al-Wasqa town in Allaith governorate, which is about 1.5 hour drive away from Ahad Bani Zaid Center in the Qunfudah governorate. The source said that it was revealed, during the interrogation by the Public Prosecution officials, that the perpetrator admitted to the existence of disputes between his family and the family of the victims about two months ago. The murderer committed the crime after reaching the house of the family, with whom he is related through marriage. Carrying a machine gun, he fired at those inside the house killing two of his sisters aged 40 and 42 respectively. The female owner of the house, aged 58 was also killed in the attack. The grisly murders were committed in front of the 10-year-old daughter of one of the victims, who managed to escape by fleeing the crime scene. She sustained injuries following the hail of gunshots. Before arriving at the victims’ home to commit the crimes, the source said, the murderer had gone to a school in Ahad Bani Zaid district, where the house owner’s brother was working. When he met the 53-year-old man, the assailant fired 25 shots into him. During the interrogation, the perpetrator acknowledged that when the victim tried to hide inside a room by shutting the door, adding, that he inserted the barrel of the gun from the bottom of the door and continued shooting until he was shot dead. The Public Prosecution had issued its order to carry out autopsies of the bodies, seize the weapons used in the crime, and take samples from the crime scenes prior to preparing the crime report to ensure the perpetrator gets the severest penalties for this heinous crime. Speaking to Okaz/Saudi Gazette, sources said that the brother of the perpetrator had been sentenced to death after being convicted in a previous murder and the death sentence was executed a few years ago. They noted that one of the murdered women was the wife of the victim in the previous murder.
