DUBAI: Model Shanina Shaik took to Instagram over the weekend with a collection of snaps from her latest campaign for e-tailer ASOS, in which she poses up a storm in outfits by sportswear giant Adidas. For the latest updates, follow us on Instagram @arabnews.lifestyle Shaik, whose father is Saudi-Pakistani and mother is Lithuanian-Australian, was photographed in a number of ensembles by Adidas, all including the German company’s signature three stripes. “Getting dressed in activewear in the morning to motivate yourself to work out later (is) a whole mood,” British e-tail giant ASOS posted on its Instagram page, alongside a gallery of photos featuring Shaik. In the snaps, the model poses in her living room, kitchen and on her balcony wearing an array of workout gear. “Adidas at home,” she captioned the images on her own Instagram account, where she has a stellar 2.2 million followers. From neon yellow biker shorts, to blush colored tracksuit pants, the fashion star showed off Adidas’s range of activewear that can just as easily be repurposed as loungewear. The home-friendly closet-fillers will no doubt work well for Shaik, who is currently spending time in London as the British capital moves into tier three — the highest level of COVID-19-related restrictions mandated by the UK’s government. In November, Shaik opened up about the impact that the coronavirus pandemic has had on her personal life on her Instagram Stories. “If you guys don’t know, I actually live in the US and I can’t even go back,” she revealed. “And I don’t know when I’ll be able to go back to my home,” she added. “Also, I’m unable to go back to Melbourne to see my family and I don’t know when I will be able to see them again. And I’m by myself here right now.” She continued, saying: “I know it’s a really rough year for everybody else and there’s a lot going on, and people are losing their jobs and it’s completely unfair.” The 29-year-old spent the earlier part of this year in Ibiza, where she was self-isolating with her partner, London-based company director Seyed Payam Mirorabi. The Melbourne-born beauty made her new relationship Instagram official earlier this year by sharing a thoughtful birthday tribute to Mirtorabi. “Happy Birthday, my love!” she wrote alongside a series of photos of the couple together. The post came one month after her divorce from DJ Ruckus, real name Gregory Andrews, was made official on Jan. 23. According to court documents, their marriage had lasted from April 28, 2018 until their split on June 25, 2019.
