RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s King Salman sent a cable of condolences to Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah, emir of Kuwait, on the death of Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al-Sabah, Saudi Press Agency reported on Monday. King Salman said: “We have learned of the news of the death of Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and we send to you and the family of the deceased our deepest condolences, and sincere sympathies.” Sheikh Nasser, who died on Sunday aged 72, was a former defense minister and the eldest son of the late emir, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah who passed away in September aged 91. Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman also sent similar cables to the Kuwaiti emir and to his counterpart Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah.
