ADEN — The Aden International Airport resumed its operations Sunday after it was interrupted for 48 hours as a result of a sabotage attempt last Wednesday. The resumption followed successful repairs and measures adopted by the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY) over the past two days, in coordination with the Yemeni government, local authorities and airport management. In a press conference, Aden Governor Ahmed Hamed Lamlas announced the reopening of the airport, in the presence of Yemeni Minister of Transport Dr. Abdulsalam Saleh Hamid Hadi, SDRPY representative Mohammad Al-Yahya, and a number of Yemeni officials as well as various mass media. In a statement, the Yemeni Minister of Transport stressed that the airport will resume flights from today, pointing out to the efforts exerted by SDRPY.
