RIYADH: The Education and Training Evaluation Commission (ETEC) will help set test papers for the King Abdul Aziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba). The ETEC and Mawhiba signed an agreement in this regard on Monday. The ETEC will assist Mawhiba in setting standardized training and professional development programs. The two organizations also agreed to share knowledge and expertise to boost the competitiveness of Mawhiba’s tests and other resources aimed at identifying and promoting talented students in the Kingdom. Mawhiba was established in 1999 as a nonprofit foundation to support the Kingdoms’ long-term vision for developing giftedness and creativity. The ETEC ensures the evaluation of public and private education in the Kingdom, builds norms for public education curricula in coordination with the Ministry of Education, and approves and updates them. It also evaluates certificate programs offered by educational and training institutions and reviews them periodically for any updates according to the requirements of the Kingdom’s labor market and the latest global trends. The commission also develops, approves and implements systems for evaluation and accreditation.
