RIYADH — Minister of Energy Prince Abdulaziz Bin Salman said that Saudi Arabia has dealt with the coronavirus pandemic as a humanitarian issue, not just an economic issue. Addressing the Future Investment Initiative (FII) conference here on Wednesday, the minister said that the Kingdom’s focus during the pandemic was on the well-being of citizens, and many programs were implemented to remove the negative effects of the pandemic on the economy. “The people of Saudi Arabia have proven themselves that they were resilient in their handling of the coronavirus crisis,” he said. Prince Abdulaziz said that Vision 2030 is indispensable for the Kingdom. “Works are progressing to continue the Vision Realization Programs despite the challenges. "The Kingdom has comprehensive programs to diversify sources of energy production and it has a proven record in bringing down carbon emissions,” he added.
