Saudi Arabia welcomed on Friday the formation of an interim government in Libya. The Foreign Ministry hoped the development would pave the way for the establishment of security and stability in Libya, hailing the United Nations on its efforts. It also hoped that accomplishment would preserve the unity and sovereignty of Libya and lead to the pull out of all foreign fighters and mercenaries and pave the way for a permanent solution that stands in the way of the foreign meddling that jeopardizes the Arab regional security. UN sponsored talks produced a new interim government for Libya on Friday aimed at resolving a decade of chaos, division and violence by holding national elections later this year. Mohammed al-Menfi, a former diplomat from Benghazi, will head a three-man presidency council, while Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh, from the western city of Misrata, will head the government as prime minister.
