RIYADH — The Ministry of Health launched on Sunday vaccination service against coronavirus inside cars and the service is available in the cities of Riyadh, Makkah, Madinah, and Abha. Both Saudis and expatriates, who have registered on the Sehhaty application, can take advantage of the service. The ministry had started on Feb. 18 the second phase of the vaccination campaign against coronavirus in all regions of the Kingdom. The resumption of the campaign comes after its suspension for nearly one month due to the lack of supply of the vaccine from the part of the manufacturer. Saudi Arabia started the nationwide vaccination campaign on Dec. 17, 2020, by opening the first vaccination center in Riyadh. Vaccination centers were opened in other major cities of Jeddah, Dammam, Madinah, and Makkah later. The vaccination centers have been expanded to all other regions from the first day of the second phase of the campaign. The number of Saudi citizens who have registered themselves for the vaccination crossed two million, and the ministry targets to complete the vaccination of the remaining 26 million citizens by the end of 2021.
