DUBAI: Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan said on Wednesday that Houthi attacks are aimed at targeting the center of the global economy. The Saudi minister was referring to the Houthi militias “ failed attempt to affect the global economy” by attacking Aramco facilities in the port of Ras Tanura. During a live press conference, Farhan highlighted the importance of the cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Russia, especially on OPEC+. The Saudi and Russian foreign ministers announced that they had discussed ways to stabilize the international energy market to avoid a negative impact on the global economy. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Russia and Saudi Arabia will work to prevent the negative effects of increasing oil prices on the global economy. He added that the economic transactions between Saudi Arabia and his country have reached $1.7 billion. Farhan reiterated the Kingdom’s support for a political solution in Yemen and reconfirmed the importance of preventing Iran from developing a nuclear weapon.
