COVID-19 cases in Saudi Arabia drop below 350-mark for two days in a row

RIYADH — Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Health recorded Monday 345 new COVID-19 cases over the past 24 hours. The single-day infections dipped below the 350-mark for the second consecutive day after remaining above 350 for 10 days in a row. The ministry announced 6 more deaths over the past 24 hours from complications caused by COVID-19. This brings the total number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 382,752 and he virus-related fatalities to 6,573. The ministry also reported 223 recoveries over the past 24 hours, raising the total number of people free from the deadly virus to 372,926. The Riyadh region continued to record the highest number of infections with 142 cases, followed by the Eastern region with 80 and the Makkah region with 47 new infections. The remaining cases were detected in other regions of the Kingdom with seven of them reporting less than 10 infections. According to the ministry, there were 3,253 active cases and 567 of them were in critical condition.
