COVID-19 cases, deaths remain steady in KSA as recoveries continue to rise

RIYADH — Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Health recorded on Thursday 381 new COVID-19 cases over the past 24 hours. The ministry announced six more deaths over the past 24 hours from complications caused by COVID-19. This brings the total number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 383,880 and the virus-related fatalities to 6,591. The ministry also reported 240 recoveries over the past 24 hours, raising the total number of people free from the deadly virus to 373, 601. The Riyadh region continued to record the highest number of infections with 157 cases, followed by the Makkah region with 74 and the Eastern region with 58 new infections. The remaining cases were detected in other regions of the Kingdom with only four of them reporting less than 10 infections. According to the ministry, there were 3,688 active cases and 564 of them were in critical condition.
