RIYADH — Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Health recorded on Friday 391 new COVID-19 cases over the past 24 hours, 10 more than Thursday’s figure of 381. The ministry announced five more deaths over the past 24 hours from complications caused by COVID-19. This brings the total number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 384,271 and the virus-related fatalities to 6,596. The ministry also reported 263 recoveries over the past 24 hours, raising the total number of people free from the deadly virus to 373,864. The Riyadh region continued to record the highest number of infections with 159 cases, followed by the Makkah region with 69 and the Eastern region with 66 new infections. The remaining cases were detected in other regions of the Kingdom with only four of them reporting less than 10 infections. According to the ministry, there were 3,811 active cases and 574 of them were in critical condition.
