JAZAN — The Eighth Coffee Festival, currently being held in Al-Dayer Bani Malik Governorate, is one of the main marketing outlets for the highest quality coffee beans in Jazan Region, and one of the main tourist attractions to acquaint visitors with the mountainous governorates. About 124 farmers in the region’s mountainous sector will offer high-quality Khowlani coffee — according to laboratory test results — via the festival. The festival has achieved continuous successes over the past years in expanding coffee cultivation and enhancing the great economic viability for its cultivation. The festival is continuing its activities through the coffee market, exhibitions of government departments and private enterprises, an arts gallery, an exhibition for heritage and productive families, and places for selling coffee, which is displayed via a number of companies and young entrepreneurs. Meanwhile, health authorities, including the primary healthcare centers in Bani Malik, Bani Malik Hospital, and the Red Crescent Authority in Al-Dayer, are carrying out their duty in measuring body temperature, and making sure the visitors are complying with the mandatory social distancing and wearing masks. Visitors roam via the coffee tracks to shop and taste the finest coffee, while passing through government exhibitions where the services provided to coffee farmers are explained. Meanwhile, the art gallery offers a number of heritage and agricultural paintings, a display of handicrafts, and the participation of productive families that provide the visitor with traditional heritage products.
