Saudi Arabia’s efforts for conservation of water lauded

RIYADH: Saudi Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Abdulrahman Al-Fadley inaugurated the 9th International Conference on Water Resources and Arid Environments on behalf of King Salman. The virtual event was organized by King Saud University’s Prince Sultan Institute for Environmental, Water and Desert Research, Sultan bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud Foundation and the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture. A large number of global experts attended the event. Speakers lauded the Kingdom’s efforts in the field of environment as part of its Vision 2030 program. Dr. Abdulmalek bin Abdulrahman Al-Asheikh, secretary-general of the Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz International Prize for Water (PSIPW), highlighted the role of King Saud University and its affiliated research centers in conducting studies for water conservation and environmental protection.
