RIYADH —The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary-General Dr. Nayef Falah Mubarak Al-Hajraf, affirmed the Council’s standing by and support for all measures being taken by the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to maintain security and stability thereof. Dr. Al-Hajraf also affirmed the Council"s full support for all decisions and measures taken by King Abdullah II of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to preserve the security and stability of his country, wishing Jordan a constant security and stability. Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, UAE and Egypt too have expressed their solidarity and support for the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and its leadership represented by King Abdullah II and Crown Prince to preserve its security and stability. In Cairo, Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit expressed full solidarity with the measures taken by the Jordanian leadership to maintain the security and stability of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. In a statement, Aboul Gheit affirmed his confidence in the wisdom of the Jordanian leadership and its keenness to secure the country"s stability. Also the Arab Parliament Speaker Adel Abdul-Rahman Al-Asoumi, affirmed the Arab Parliament"s full standing by the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. He also expressed full support for all decisions and measures taken by the Jordan’s King Abdullah to preserve security and stability in his country and confront any attempts to undermine it or threaten its security and stability. In a statement, the Arab Parliament Speaker stressed that the security of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan is an integral part of Arab national security, as it is one of the main pillars and foundations on which the joint Arab action system is based. In Riyadh, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Secretary-General Dr. Yusuf bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen too affirmed the organization’s stand by and support for all measures being taken by King Abdullah of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and Crown Prince Hussein Bin Abdullah II. Al-Othaimeen said: The OIC supports all decisions and measures taken by King Abdullah II and the crown prince to maintain security and stability in Jordan. — SPA
