Saudi mission in Thailand launches Iftar and date distribution programs

BANGKOK — Saudi Arabia’s diplomatic mission in Thailand launched on Friday the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Iftar and date distribution programs. The chargé d"Affairs at Saudi Arabia’s Embassy in Bangkok, Essam Al-Jatili, inaugurated the programs after Friday prayers at the embassy’s headquarters under the supervision of the Ministry of Affairs Islamic Call and Guidance The programs were launched in cooperation with the Sheikhul Islam Office, the Central Council in Thailand, and associations and prominent Islamic centers in Thailand. The Islamic counselor in Thailand, Dr. Yusuf Bin Abdullah Al-Hamoudi, stated that as part of the two programs, eight tons of dates and nearly 5,000 food baskets will be distributed to around 35,000 Muslims during the holy month, covering 30 governorates, 990 mosques, and 160 Islamic centers, associations and bodies in five Thai provinces. Muslims who attended the inauguration of the two programs praised Saudi Arabia’s efforts to serve Islam and Muslims around the world. They expressed feelings of love, thanks, and gratitude to the Saudi government, asking God Almighty to maximize the reward for the leadership and its people.
