RIYADH — Acting Chief Marketing and Communication Officer at Quality of Life Program, Khaled Bin Abdullah Al-Bakr, has voiced appreciation for the Crown Prince"s patronage of the National Cultural Awards closing ceremony, hailing the gesture as the culmination of the Saudi support to culture and the intelligentsia. Al-Baker underlined that the National Cultural Awards is part of the Quality of Life Program’s initiatives carried out by the Ministry of Culture with the aim at supporting the Kingdom’s cultural sectors and empowering the Saudi male and female intellectuals and promoting their creativity and excellence locally and internationally. He also pointed out that the Kingdom’s cultural sector has witnessed a significant transformation since the launch of the Kingdom"s Vision 2030 and the establishment of the Ministry of Culture and other cultural commissions that work together in carrying out the vision’s realization programs that seek to enhance the Saudi cultural landscape and infrastructure all within the general objective of improving the quality of life in Saudi Arabia. The National Cultural Awards initiative includes 14 cultural awards: the Cultural Personality of the Year Award, Youth Cultural Award, Cultural Institutions Award, Film Award, Fashion Award, Music Award, National Heritage Award, Literature Award, Theater and Performing Arts Award, Visual Arts Award, Architecture and Design Award, Culinary Arts Award, Publishing Award, and Translation Award. — SPA
