LONDON: Saudi Arabia’s permanent representative to the UN, Abdallah Al-Mouallimi, and the UN’s special envoy for Myanmar, Christine Schraner Burgener, chaired a virtual meeting about the Rohingya crisis on Tuesday. Representatives of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation’s Contact Group on the Rohingya Muslim Minority were briefed on the latest developments in the humanitarian situation, and discussed how best it might be addressed, taking into account the effects of the coronavirus pandemic.  The delegates also talked about the latest political developments in Myanmar.
