Islamic Affairs Ministry distributes food baskets in Australia

CANBERRA, Australia — The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, represented by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques" program for "Iftar" (breaking fast) in cooperation with the Saudi embassy in Australia, has continued distributing Ramadan food baskets in Australia, the Republic of Fiji, Solomon Islands and nearby islands. In a statement, the Head of Australian National Imams Council (ANIC) Shadi Al-Sulaiman praised the important role by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques" program "Iftar" (breaking fast) in confirming the depth of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia"s relationship with Muslim communities in Australia, nearby islands and Muslims around the world. 1,100 food baskets distributed in Vietnam In Bangkok, within the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques" program for "Iftar", the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, represented by the Office of the Islamic Advisor at the Kingdom"s embassy in Bangkok, has completed the distribution of Ramadan food baskets for this year 1442 AH. This was done in accordance with continuous coordination and supervision with Saud Bin Fahd Al-Suwailem, Saudi ambassador to Vietnam, and with follow-up of Sheikh Abdullatif Bin Abdulaziz Al-Sheikh, minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance. As many as 400 food baskets were distributed in many governorates in Vietnam. For his part, Dr. Yousef Bin Abdullah Al-Hamoudi, supervisor of the distribution of food baskets in Vietnam and Representative of the ministry, said that the Iftar program has reached more than 1,100 food baskets, benefiting 8,000 Muslims. — SPA
