ABHA — King Khalid University continues to excel in international rankings as it was recently ranked 301 according to the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2021, which measures the performance of universities according to the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The university president Dr. Faleh Bin Raja Allah Al-Salami said the university seeks to be among the top 200 universities in the world by 2030. For his part, the university Undersecretary for Quality and Development Dr. Marzan Al-Shahrani noted that the university’s participation in international rankings and its obtaining advanced ranks is evidence of keenness to apply best international practices and standards in the field of higher education. It is also to improve the university’s performance and improve its outputs in line with the Kingdom"s Vision 2030, and its determination to work in accordance with a roadmap deemed to achieve sustainable development goals. The university advanced 300 ranks compared with the results of the previous year in the same classification, and secured a place among the top 200 universities in the world in the two goals related to good health and well-being, and the provision of clean energy. — SPA
