RIYADH — People who are inoculated against COVID-19 with a vaccine approved in Saudi Arabia will only be allowed to enter any government or private establishment or commercial facilities across the Kingdom, starting from Aug. 1, 2021, according to an official source at the Ministry of Interior. In a statement on Tuesday carried by the Saudi Press Agency, the official source said that based on recommendations made by the competent authorities, the coronavirus vaccinated status will be mandatory for the following: — Entry for all economic, commercial, cultural, entertainment, or sporting activities — Entry for all cultural, scientific, social or entertainment events—Entering into all governmental or private establishments — Entry into all governmental or private educational facilities — Use of public transportation The source also announced that all teachers and faculty members will return to schools in person next semester. According to the source, the Tawakkalna application will be used to check the immunization status of citizens and residents. The source stressed the need for everyone to adhere to the precautionary and preventive measures, and not to be complacent in the application of health requirements, including social distancing, wearing a face mask, and continuously disinfecting hands, and compliance with the approved protocols. He explained that all procedures and measures are subject to continuous evaluation by the Public Health Authority (Weqaya).
