RIYADH — The Advisor at the Royal Court and Supervisor General of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) Dr. Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah met here Tuesday with Saudi Arabia-based US Charge d"affaires Martina Strong. During the meeting, they discussed issues of common interest related to relief and humanitarian affairs, especially in Yemen, and the international efforts exerted to combat the coronavirus (COVID-19). They also discussed the possibility to provide safe vaccines for the countries in need within the COVAX Global Initiative. Strong praised the close bilateral relations between the two friendly countries of Saudi Arabia and the US, hailing KSrelief"s humanitarian and relief efforts and its help for the needy around the world. KSrelief distributes food baskets in Bangladesh In Dhaka, the KSrelief has continued distributing food baskets in Bangladesh. As many as 1,000 food baskets were distributed, benefiting 5,000 individuals.This comes within the framework of the KSrelief"s project to distribute food baskets to the forcibly displaced people from Myanmar and host communities in Bangladesh for the year 2021. KSrelief conducts 45 cardiac catheterization in Senegal In Dakar, the KSrelief continued implementing the medical voluntary program for children cardiac catheterization in Dakar, Senegal, in cooperation with the Muslim World League (MWL) on Tuesday. The KSrelief volunteer medical team carried out 9 cardiac catheterization operations the day before yesterday, bringing the number of the surgeries implemented since the beginning of the campaign last week to 45 in the field of cardiac catheterization for children from limited income families. The medical programs come within the framework of the humanitarian efforts exerted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the KSrelief, to alleviate the suffering of the needy people and support them all over the world. — SPA
