ADEN — Yemeni Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Muammar Al-Eryani confirmed the high death toll of children recruited within the ranks of the Iranian-backed terrorist Houthi militia in recent battles on various fronts in Marib Governorate, Yemen. In a statement to the state-run Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the Yemeni minister said that field reports and Houthi militia’s confessions through media outlets affirm the high number of children killed in suicide attacks ordered by the militia on various fighting fronts in Marib. Al-Eryani warned of genocide committed by the Houthi militia against thousands of children aged between 10-16 after having been lured from their homes and schools, brainwashed and sent to fighting fronts in Marib. He called upon the international community, United Nations and international human rights and child protection organizations to assume their responsibilities, stop the genocide committed by the terrorist Houthi militia against children and bring to justice as war criminals those accountable for children"s recruitment . over Houthi attacks Two US senior officials have expressed concern over humanitarian situations in the aftermath of Houthi militia"s attacks on Marib, Yemen, which they said needs more humanitarian assistance. They pointed out that the United States seeks to reach comprehensive solution to Yemen"s crisis.
