ADEN — Yemeni Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Muammar Al-Eryani has said that foiling Houthi militia"s terrorist attack with two explosives-laden boats reconfirms the serious danger posed by the militia"s control of coasts of Hodeidah to the security and safety of trade ships, oil tankers and international maritime navigations. "Houthi militia"s use of Hodeidah"s ports including Salif and Ra"s Isa for preparing and launching explosives-laden remote controlled boats confirms Houthi militia"s utilization of Sweden Agreement for serving its terrorist acts, which destabilizes the security and safety of Yemen and the region and threatens international interests," said Al-Eryani in a statement according to Yemen News Agency (Saba). The minister also praised the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen, under the leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, for foiling dozens of such attacks on the Red Sea and Bab Al-Mandab. He called upon the international community and the permanent member states in the Security Council to condemn these attacks and assume responsibility to protect regional and international security and peace. The Yemeni government also has welcomed Saudi Arabia"s statement issued on Thursday on the Riyadh Agreement. The Yemeni government also considers the statement as a continuation of the ongoing Saudi keenness on Yemen’s security and stability. In a statement reported on Yemen News Agency (Saba), the Yemeni government said, "While welcoming the content of the Saudi statement, the Yemeni government renews its commitment to implementing the Riyadh Agreement with all its details and affirms that the deal is a significant step to unify all forces that oppose the Iranian control of Yemen." The government also called on the Southern Transitional Council to cease all forms of violations affecting the state"s institutions, its recent measures, making up crises, mobilizing military forces and denigrating the state and the army. The Yemeni government has reiterated its firm position on establishing law and its sincere keenness to fully implement the Riyadh Agreement, calling on the Southern Transitional Council to respond to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s call for the interest of the Yemeni people. — SPA
