BKERKE, Lebanon — Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Lebanon Walid Bin Abdullah Bukhari underscored the depth of the relationship between the Kingdom and the Maronite Patriarchate during a book launch ceremony here on Thursday. The book “Maronite Patriarchate"s Relationship with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia” by Abbot Antoine Daou reviews the most important milestones of the relationship between the Kingdom and the Patriarchate in the Lebanese village of Bkerke, the Saudi Press Agency reported. Speaking on the occasion, Bukhari highlighted Saudi Arabia’s role in spreading a culture of peace, building bridges of moderation, promoting coexistence and preserving human dignity, hoping that the political parties would overcome the challenges Lebanon is facing by putting the country’s interest on the top of their priority. The Saudi ambassador pointed out that the Arab depth is a fundamental pillar in the Kingdom"s Vision 2030, stressing that the Kingdom will not allow Lebanon’s national identity to be compromised under any pretext. Meanwhile, Maronite Patriarch Bechara Boutros Al-Rahi who was aslo present during the book launch ceremony, said that it was an honor to meet Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman and I felt their love for Lebanon, recalling his visit to Saudi Arabia. He stressed that Saudi Arabia was and still is in the bond of friendship with the Maronite Patriarchate and Lebanon, referring to the Saudi-Lebanese relations since the era of the founding King Abdulaziz.
