TASHKENT — Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Faisal Bin Farhan met here on Thursday with his Tajikistani counterpart Sirojiddin Muhriddin, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Thursday. The meeting took place on the sidelines of an international conference on “Central and South Asia: Regional Connectivity. Opportunities and Challenges” being hosted by Tajikistan in Tashkent on Friday. During the meeting, they discussed aspects of relations between the two countries and ways to enhance them in various fields to serve common interests. They also exchanged views on regional and international issues of common interest. The two sides reviewed Saudi Arabia’s international efforts and support for joint action to combat the coronavirus pandemic through its G20 presidency. Prince Faisal and Muhriddin also discussed the Kingdom"s Vision 2030 and the programs it offers aimed at achieving sustainable development and providing many huge investment opportunities in all sectors. The meeting was attended by the undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for International Affairs Abdul Rahman Bin Ibrahim Al-Rasi, the Saudi ambassador to Uzbekistan, Hisham Al-Suwailem, and the director-general of the office of foreign minister, Abdul Rahman Al-Daoud.
