(In headline and first sentence, corrects number of countries in declaration to 23, not 13) WASHINGTON, July 15 (Reuters) - The World Bank said that 23 African leaders on Thursday called for a largest-ever $100 billion replenishment of the International Development Association, the development lender’s fund for the world’s poorest countries. The leaders set the goal in a joint declaration after a summit meeting in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, the World Bank said in a statement. The bank in April had accelerated its process for a twentieth replenishment of IDA after the fund provided massive assistance to help countries deal with the COVID-19 pandemic.
