CANNES/DUBAI: German fashion influencer Leonie Hanne put her red carpet style firmly in the hands of Lebanese designers this week, as she wowed crowds at the Cannes Film Festival in a trio of gowns by creative talents from the Middle Eastern country. For the latest updates, follow us on Instagram @arabnews.lifestyle In what is considered a make or break fashion event for many influencers and models, where photographers from around the world flock to capture red carpet style, Hanne opted for show stopping gowns by Tony Ward, Rami Kadi and Georges Hobeika. Hanne attended the screening of Matt Damon-starring “Stillwater” earlier at the festival in an iridescent, pleated gown with an embellished neckline by Lebanese-Italian designer Tony Ward, which hailed from his latest couture collection. The skirt featured layer upon layer of fringed sheets of sequins, which played in the wind as the Instagram star sauntered down the red carpet. Finally, the influencer, who is based between Germany and London, opted for a larger-than-life ballgown by Georges Hobeika for the closing ceremony of the festival on Saturday. “Going big (and golden) for the last night of the Cannes Film Festival,” she aptly captioned a shot of the gleaming gown on Instagram. Hanne showed off accessories by Italian fine jeweler Pomellato throughout the festival, and rounded out her trio of looks with a diamond-encrusted pair of link earrings and matching bracelet.
